High-engagement threads emphasise conference buzz, procedural evidence, and innovative tools. Here’s the standout activity based on reposts and views:

Check out this legendary meeting, it’s fantastic speaker lineup and get your leave in for a not to be missed meeting!

A speaker presents at a conference in front of an audience in a large indoor venue.

A brilliant observational study shared via NEJM Clinician, notes subclavian vein access under ultrasound has fewest complications.

Title of an article discussing central line placement and site choice in the context of ultrasound technology, authored by Michael E. Billington, M.D.
Title of a research article discussing neonatal outcomes with regional versus general anesthesia for cesarean delivery, authored by multiple medical professionals.

36 RCTs (3,456 neonates) show no superiority in outcomes, but regional techniques (often ultrasound-guided) reduce opioid exposure. Perhaps POCUS-integrated peripartum care needs more attention.

Quiz Away!

Nice quiz to get your teeth into here, with Doppler videos showing holodiastolic flow reversal in aortic arch/abdominal aorta, differential including PDA. Classic bedside echo teaching, highlighting POCUS for rapid valvular assessment in critical scenarios like shock or heart failure.

Lung Ultrasound Tutorial

Lovely videographic breakdown of normal lung, interstitial syndrome, effusions, pneumonia, and pneumothorax. Demonstrates the utility of POCUS, as a faster modality than X-ray for respiratory queries in the ICU/ED.

POCUS Paeds!

A nice study on the number of scans needed for mastery (~29 for 90% accuracy). A nice insight into acquiring the skill and backing it up with numbers for diagnostic accuracy.

Academic article title and citation regarding learning curve for point-of-care ultrasonography in pediatric skin and soft tissue infections.

Well worth taking part in this trial. This study is conducted by Jason Ha, 4th year medical student at University of Bristol. The research team includes: Florence Chang, Dr Boyne Bellew, Dr Julian Cumberworth and Professor Jag Dhanda (Principal Investigator).

3D Organon is a virtual reality (VR) application used by Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery (VRiMS) for anatomy teaching. This study aims to assess its effectiveness in regional anaesthesia training, particularly for ultrasound-guided blocks. We will evaluate the ultrasound images of three regional anaesthetic blocks in 3D Organon. The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
