Twitter is bringing Multi-Tweet-ability to us!
I discovered this from our SoMe group chat and @AVKwong mentioned this…brilliant! I can see this being a big hit at a conference or two…hopefully it won’t be a licence to ramble though!?
We reinforced the SB4YB!!

Watch the initial loading people!
This is a great blog from Emcrit, within their iSepsis section. It contains commentary from Paul Marik on his paper looking at a large cohort of patients and what they received as far as initial fluid resuscitation in sepsis was concerned. Take a look….original paper below too.

Don’t lose the CO2!
Lose your ETCO2 trace in theatre and it’s not a disconnection…worry! I always explain to trainees that if your ETCO2 level is dropping, it’s likely to be a cardiac output related phenomenon…then sure enough, the BP reading comes back…LOW! So, it’s no surprise that CO2 levels are useful to look at during a resuscitation effort….but is there any prognostic value??
